MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

“Back to School” isn’t just for the youngsters in your family, but for all of us who value continued improvement and enrichment of our lives and renewal through learning.

Despite budget challenges at the state level, and economic uncertainties in all of our households, the San Mateo Adult School is committed to continuing our mission to improve the lives of individuals and, through them, our communities. Certainly education is the vehicle best suited to help people advance both their economic circumstances and personal lives. Tough decisions must be made, but please assist me in reminding our political leaders that a vibrant public education system is itself an “economic stimulus package”. Education isn’t an expense, it is an investment!
