Our Mission

Expected Schoolwide Learning Results

Prior Accreditation Reports

With the leadership of our Director, Mr. "T", and our Assistant Director, Bob Harper, we last began to study our school in 1997. After many hours of dialogue, the final report was completed, and a very brief outline of strengths and weaknesses is listed below. The 1998 self-study was modeled after a process called Pursuit of Excellence. It was structured differently from the process we are using now. Now we are using Focus On Learning. However, you will see that there are basic similarities in the two model processes. We can still build on what we learned from that self-study.

Strengths:

    1. Faculty and staff - dedicated, professional, sensitive to individual learning styles and cultural and individual differences
    2. SMART center - a technology-ready flagship building that looks forward toward the future
    3. A strong, supportinve relationship with the District

Areas for Improvement:

    1. Expanded course offerings and community education program - parent education, fee-based classes, cultivation of collaborations
    2. Strategic plan for facilities improvement/expansion - maintenance, repair, or replacement of old portables, parking, Foster City classes, childcare
    3. Expanded support services (counseling/career advisement and assessment) - continuous assessment from intake to exit, educational options and individual training plans, articulation with other training providers

The Three-Year Progress Report

Based on recommendations from the visiting committee, we were awarded a six year accreditation, with a one day visit and progress report. After witnessing our progress on fulfilling previous recommendations, they concluded that they had no further recommendations. Click here to view the full Three-Year Progress Report written in 2001.
