unit or level.
Please use your discretion when assessing students. This is only
a guide. You may have other assessment activities you wish to share
with us.
Watch & Listen
We do not give pre-tests to
students at this level. Rate students on the 3 rubrics before
beginning the series and after completion of the series. They
must also compelte the final exam. If students do not receive
80% or higher on the final exam but have been receiving 80% per
unit, you may assign up to 5 hours per week of extra work on the
topics that they had trouble on. As always, teachers' discretion
based on student age, etc.
For each unit:
Speaking - flashcards for
pronunciation and answering workbook-based questions orally.
Writing - Dictate sentences and/or words for the student to
write. Keep a copy of writing samples in the students' files
every two or three units, especially when you see marked progress.

and writing sample.
