Agreement Between the San Mateo Union High School District and the Adult School Federation of Teachers

ARTICLE XII: POSTING REQUIREMENT

The District agrees that the Director of Adult Education will post notices at selected work sites of bargaining unit positions to be filled. Such notices will be posted a minimum of ten (10) working days before the deadline for District receipt of application. This ten (10) working days requirement shall not prevent the District from filling vacant positions on less than ten (10) working days posting, whenever the District deems that the vacancy must be filled. However, the District will inform the Federation when exceptions to this ten (10) working days requirement must be made.

In addition, the Director will establish a pre-recorded telephone announcement of all vacancies subject to the same requirements and conditions in paragraph one (1) above.

The Director of Adult Education will distribute a form by October 1 and March 1 eliciting employees' interests in teaching additional courses or additional hours. These forms will be considered in filling vacancies. The forms may be mailed to the home of any employee whose teaching assignment site is not on the San Mateo High School campus. All forms must be returned by October 15 and March 15, respectively.
