Agreement Between the San Mateo Union High School District and the Adult School Federation of Teachers

ARTICLE X: CANCELLATION OF CLASSES
Whenever the Director becomes reasonably certain that a class may be canceled, the Director will send to the Federation and the instructor a Notice of Intent to Cancel a Class (see Appendix C). The notice will be given a minimum of five (5) days before the date of intended cancellation. During the interim the Federation and/or instructor may contact the Director to discuss ways to avoid canceling the class. The parties acknowledge that for various reasons classes are sometimes canceled; thus, this clause is not intended and shall not be interpreted or applied in a manner that interferes with or impedes the District's flexibility to start and cancel classes as stated in Article IV.
