ESL Video Checkout - Many students cannot attend regularly scheduled classes due to work time conflicts, lack of childcare or lack of transportation. Though many of these students are from low-income households, local surveys have noted that almost all households have a TV and a VCR available. We are offering this video based learning class as a means of overcoming educational barriers with the educational tools that are available in most homes.

Online Writing - A growing number of ESL students who have basic English skills are finding progress in their jobs blocked by a lack of writing skill. Some of these people are gaining access to computers either at home or through local libraries. Thus, this class will serve a currently excluded group by making use of a tool that is becoming increasingly available.
