Standard Registation Information

Pre-registration by mail or in person at the Adult School office is required for these courses. Many class sections fill quickly. Register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The registration form may be printed out from this site, taken from our printed brochure, or picked up in person from our office. Remember to include the section number of the class for which you are registering.

The Adult School requires a minimum number of students for a class to be offered. A class with low pre-registration may be canceled prior to the first meeting. Adult School classes are supported by state apportionment or directly from student fees. State apportionment classes with low attendance may be canceled. Fee-based classes with less than minimum enrollment by a specified date will be canceled.

ELIGIBILITY/PRIORITY ENROLLMENT

Adults have priority enrollment privilege in all classes offered in the San Mateo Adult School. Enrollment in some classes (e.g. substantially handicapped) may be restricted. Current high school students may attend only if enrollment is voluntary and occurs in conjunction with parents and high school counselor. See registration procedures for the Adult Learning Center.
