Assignment 6 Sample Fairytale

Once upon a time in a small village in northern China, there lived a man who was alone and crippled.  Due to his physical limitation, he resorted to begging in the street for his daily living. Most of the villagers despised and ignored him. It was particularly hard for him during icy cold winter. He not only had no warm clothes to put on to be on the street, but also was not able to cut logs to warm himself in his small shabby living quarter. One morning as he was about to give up his life, he heard a light knock on his door. He was too weak to answer the door. In a pause, the door was slowly push opened. A little girl carrying a basketful of bread walked in. She carefully walked towards the man's damp straw bedside and offered him the basket of bread. The man was overwhelmed and tears rolled down to his cheeks. In an instant he disappeared before the eyes of the little girl.  This tale reminds me of what the bible says about angels appearing like beggars in our midst to enable us to show compassion and love to our fellow mankind.  It is also stated that if you do this to the least among you, you are doing it to our Lord Jesus Christ. And our reward in heaven will be great.
