Powerpoint Projects for ESL
Welcome!
In this class you will practice English and learn to use presentation software called Powerpoint. Each lesson has two objectives: an English skill and a a computer skill. Each computer skill is reviewed in later lessons, so it is important that you try to attend class regularly.
Schedule
We will meet in the Skylab on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 23 to August 15, 8:30 to 10:30 am. We have 8 classes for a total class time of 16 hours. You will receive a Certificate of Completion if you attend at least 6 classes and complete 5 assignments.
Textbook & Materials We will not use a textbook for this class. All activities are hands-on. You must practice the skills I teach you so that you will remember. I will provide some handouts but only a few so you have to take notes. Taking notes will help you understand and remember what we do in class.
Warm-up Project: Introductions (due July 30) - Create present your first project! This lesson will help us to learn about each other and will help me evaluate your English level and comfort level with computers. Click here for a sample.
