Part 1
You have 45 minutes to finish part 1. Create a checkbook for the month of January 2001. It does not need to be accurate. Just try to estimate your expenses.
Part 2
You will need to work in groups of 3 or 4. Using part 1, combine all of your information to create a large worksheet. The worksheet will compare your different expenses, payments and deposits. I will not tell you how to format the worksheet. You should discuss this in English with your groupmates before you begin creating your own worksheets. This should be a large worksheet so you can practice freezing and splitting panes.
Part 3
I will demonstrate how to freeze and split panes for viewing large worksheets. Prepare a presentation of your worksheet. Each group will have to compare their expenses and show the rest of the class different parts of their worksheets. Your presentation must last at least 6 minutes and each person must speak for at least 2 minutes. Also be prepared to answer questions from your classmates.
Part 4
After all presentations are finished, make adjustments or changes based on your classmates' or my suggestions. This is still your worksheet so you can decide what you need to change. Print your worksheet in separate parts. I will show you how to put page breaks and have the computer print in the order you want it to. Only print one worksheet for the group. Use the following headers and footers:
Left Header: Your name
Center Header: Assignment number
Right Header: Date
Left Footer: Teacher's name
