LEARN TO SILK PAINT    $70*
One Day Class!
Registration deadline Tuesday 4/20

Instructor Joy-Lily has been painting on silk since 1988. Her work has been published and exhibited locally and internationally. As a California Arts Council Artist in Residence, she taught fiber art to older adults for 9 years. She feels that silk is a great way to jump-start (or re-start) your art because painting on silk is virtually goof-proof.
Silk painting is a happy hybrid of watercolor and batik. Create a luminous silk scarf while learning everything you need to get going in this very satisfying fiber art technique. The specifics of choosing dyes and silk, mixing colors, resist and non-resist painting techniques and steam-setting the silk will be covered. 1 meeting. *$10.00 supply fee payable to instructor in class.
