Chadbourne offers a wide range of arts and craft endeavors every
Monday from 8:30 -11:30 am. Learn jewelry making, oil painting,
watercolor, copper enameling, china painting, needlecrafts and
various other decorative arts. Enjoy working with others on
group craft projects, or take in the benefit of working on your
own craft interest in a friendly, supportive setting.
In addition to the activities
described above, this one-day-a-week program offers outside
speakers, trips, and lunch, afternoon card games and special
events.

PAINTING: OIL AND ACRYLIC
Learn basic painting techniques. Mix and apply
warm and cool hues of color to complement composition. Explore
different techniques using texture and line, and discover a
variety of brushstrokes to obtain the results you want.
A fee for materials will be discussed the
first class session.

Join fitness instructor, Charla Jean, as she
leads you in chair exercises for mature adults. Emphasis is
placed on balance and fall prevention, flexibility, building
core strength and proper alignment. Students report they leave
this fun and uplifting class feeling empowered and joyful.

Many classes offered
by the San Mateo Adult School encourage students to express
their viewpoints on the subject at hand. The Adult School
reserves the right to refuse service to anyone whose
participation jeopardizes our efforts to maintain this free
exchange of ideas.
GUEST PASSES
You
can purchase a set of four guest passes for $20.00 at the San
Mateo Adult School or in class and receive a fifth one as a
gift. One guest pass allows a student to attend one class.
A guest pass can be used for the following 50PLUS classes only:
Fitness Education, Health Topics, Current Events, Armchair
Travel, Knitting, and Music Appreciation. Passes are not
applicable to classes that feature ongoing projects, and involve
use of supplies, such as Painting, Drawing, Ceramics and Sewing.
Purchase a set of guest passes for yourself; or to have a few on
hand to invite a friend or visiting relative to class. It
is a great way to sample many of our class offerings.
