A Day of Fun & Friends!
Enrich your life! Develop new skills, learn about your
community, improve your well-being. Every Monday the Chadbourne
Center offers its unique program of “something for everyone.”
Active seniors drop by and find new friends, stimulation and
fun. In addition to the specific classes listed below, this
one-day-a-week program offers outside speakers, trips, lunch and
special events. Join us in the afternoons for Pedro and
Mexican Card Train.
PAINTING:
OIL AND ACRYLIC
Learn to mix colors
for the result you desire. Beginning and experienced painters
are welcome! Class covers both basic instruction and more
advanced topics for those ready to move ahead. A modest supply
fee is paid directly to the instructor for supplies. Bring
whatever supplies you already have, and the instructor will
advise you on what else you need.

CURRENT EVENTS
NEW TEACHERS!
Get involved in an ongoing discussion and
analysis of Current Events. In this class we will explore
national and international news events, as well as key issues
that are shaping the world today. Some of those key issues can
range from politics, finance and war, to Social Security and
health care. Participants of the class bring in topics,
questions and stories from newspapers, magazines, TV, radio,
Internet or online blogs. The ideas and personal experience of
individual participants will also be an important ingredient to
the mix and flavor of the discussions. Explore your ideas and
share your opinion on issues that affect the world in which we
live. Bring your questions and topics as you join us to delve
beyond the headlines. (No

CREATIVE ARTS & CRAFTS
Enjoy a wide range of arts and craft endeavors every Monday
from 8:30 -11:30am. Learn new skills and techniques in jewelry
making, oil painting, watercolor, copper enameling, lapidary,
china painting, needlecrafts and various other decorative arts.
Lunch: 11:30 – 12:30. Every week, 12:30 – 1:30, a new speaker
is invited to present topics of interest and resource to
seniors. Lastly, don’t pass up the opportunity to stimulate
your brain and meet new friends by joining in on a game of Pedro
or Mexican Train 1:30 – 3:00pm.

Sit and be fit! Join our program of stretching, range of
motion exercises and movements designed for senior bodies! Feel
