summer 2013 aarp driving safety

AARP DRIVING SAFETY PROGRAM

This 8-hour classroom course is designed especially for drivers 50 years and over. You will learn:

  ●   Defensive driving techniques   ●   How to safely use a car phone
  ●   New traffic laws and rules of the road   ●   How to deal with aggressive drivers
  ●   And much more    

Program fee: $12 fee for AARP members and $14 for non-members (payable to AARP) covers workbook and DMV certificate.

In addition, there is a separate $5 registration charge (payable to the Adult School). Class size is limited, so pre-register early. Registration begins Monday, April 15.

AARP Refresher

If you have taken the 8-hour course through AARP, and can produce documentation of having taken it   within the last four years (certificate, canceled check, insurance statement) you are eligible to take the 4-hour refresher course.

Program fee: $12 fee for AARP members and $14 for non-members (payable to AARP) covers workbook and DMV certificate. 

In addition, there is a separate $5 registration charge (payable to the Adult School). Space is limited, so pre-register early. Registration begins Monday, April 15. Bring your AARP card to class.
