California Needs Notaries! This course satisfies the 6-hour
required class for all new and renewing Notaries Public. It
is designed to help beginners and refresh renewing notaries
with: changes in the law, basic principles of journaling,
completing notarial wording, challenging signings as well as
lawful, proper business practices and prudent care of
notarial acts. It may increase your value to your employer
or your personal income while serving the community. Become
aware of the important role a Notary Public serves in many
personal and financial transactions. Renewing Notaries can
take the exam 6-months prior to expiration. Proof of
Completion is valid for 2 years. The State Notary Exam will
begin at 4 pm after each class. Be sure to bring:

A sack lunch for your 30 minute lunch break (recommended).

$49.16
($45.00+ 9.25% tax) for textbook and materials. Personal
checks, cash or credit card accepted.

A color 2"x 2" color passport photo (one can be obtained
from instructor at lunch for $5 total).

A Money Order, Cashier’s Check or personal check for $40.00,
payable to Secretary of State for the Exam.

HOME CARE AIDE TRAINING $30
Registration deadline Thursday, 9/9
Start a career in the fast growing health field. In this
caregiver program you will learn to provide non-medical home
care to the elderly and adults with disabilities. Course
accommodates both native and limited English speakers.
Pre-requisite: ESL high intermediate or higher. 20 meetings.
Reminder: This class does not qualify for CNA
(Certified Nurses Assistant) or Certified Home Health Aide
certification. 20 meetings.
(No class on 11/11).

TIME MANAGEMENT-UP AGAINST
THE CLOCK $30

Students will learn to save time, money, and energy at work.
You may even reduce the company’s expenses and increase
profits. Students will also learn to advance in your career
by earning your salary during the day, and earning your
promotion at night. In addition, you will learn to address
problems, and prevent them from interfering with your
professional and personal goals. Ronald Mendlin has
managed and supervised a wide variety of projects in the
public and private sector. He is currently a vocational
advisor and the author of “Up Against The Clock: A
Manager’s Guide For Those Who Don’t Have Time To Read Time
Management Books”. 5 meetings.

FORKLIFT SAFETY
CERTIFICATION $199

Become a certified forklift operator through classroom
study, driving a forklift through an obstacle course, and
evaluation (driving a forklift while moving product in a
simulated warehouse environment). At completion students
will receive a 3 year certification card. Handout materials
are included.
